First Steps Child Care is a caring, stimulating environment providing full day care for 44 children from Birth to the time of full-time education (around 5 years), we also offer breakfast & after school care for 14 children, picking up from local schools. We currently have 110 children on our role, of which 30 access free Early Years Educational Funding. 

 We are located in the town of Downham Market, within 10 minutes walk of the town centre and 5 minutes walk from the train station. We employ a range of highly qualified and motivated staff and support students requiring placements.

All snacks, meals and drinks are prepared on-site by a cook who follows a rota of menus giving a variety of tasty, well-balanced meals whilst catering for dietary variations such as vegetarians, food allergies etc.

We are registered by, and subject to, inspections by OFSTED and in March 2008 we became the first day nursery in Downham Market to be accredited to the Norfolk Quality Assurance Scheme.
